Looking for Volunteers for the active8 Bronze Paddle

The active8 Bronze Paddle is looking for volunteers.

The inurgral active8 Bronze Paddle event last year, organised by Canoe SA, was a great sucess and we are looking to put on another great event this year. This exciting new canoeing event is aimed to assist young people achieve their Duke of EdinburghÕs Bronze Awards. The event is for high school students between the ages of 13 and 18 and the event includes a combination of kayaking and orienteering.

The active8 Bronze Paddle will take place from the 22nd to the 23rd of October and it is held at Swan Reach in the riverland.  It is a great event to be involved in and a great excuse to spend a weekend relaxing by the river with a great bunch of people.  All volunteers are welcome to the dinner at the Swan Reach Hotel on the Saturday night and a free BBQ on the Sunday afternoon.

We are looking for people to volunteer for a number of tasks including:

¤         Checkpoint supervisors

¤         Campsite supervisors

¤         Scrutineering officials

¤         Headquarters personnel

¤         Rescue boat drivers

¤         Rescue boat first aid attendants
