Sea Kayaking Paddle Symposium 2006
Saturday, 6th May 2006, Adelaide, South Australia
With a couple of options, paddlers can either participate in an interpretive mangrove tour with Phil Doddridge through the Garden Island area or continue with skill development at West Lakes.
After paddling activities a barbecue dinner will be held at Aquatic Reserve so you can catch up with friends and meet people involved in sea kayaking in South Australia.
Arrive at Garden Island Boat Ramp
11:00am – 3:00pm
Interpretive mangrove paddle with Phil Doddridge
3:00 Ð 5:00pm
Interpretive tour paddlers get dry and return to Aquatic reserve if attending barbeque and presentations
Lunch is the responsibility of each participant. You are required to bring a packed lunch and snacks for the early afternoon paddle.
1:00 Ð 5:00pm
Afternoon paddling activities for those not attending the mangrove paddle.

- Eskimo rolling
- Paddle technique coaching
The program will depend on the interests of those in attendance. Australian Canoeing Instructors will be on hand if participants wish to pursue other options such as theory tests, training in other areas such as navigation etc. Please contact Canoe SA.

Please feel free to invite friends and family, however, there is still the standing requirement that all paddlers hold a Basic Skills Award or equivalent.
