As they say, marathon canoeing is ‘The Fit Way to See a River’ and there is a variety of upcoming events for everyone to enjoy. Whether it’s a leisurely paddle or a gargantuan feat of human endurance you are after, local clubs are sure to have something to satisfy your appetite.
Marathon Canoe Club is once again hosting the premier South Australian marathon event under a new name. Formerly, the Murray 100/200/Relay and Mini Marathon, this year the club is running the event under the name – Riverland Paddling Marathon. The new look event was officially launched on the 18th of April and work continues to ensure this years event is even better than last years. White Knuckle Fever
Holdfast Bay Canoe Club continues to hold the White Knuckle Fever Race every fortnight on the Patawalonga. This six kilometre handicap event is a great way to get out on the water regularly and enjoy marathon canoeing at whatever level you desire. The handicap includes TK1, TK2, K1, K2, C1 and Skis.
