Exclusion Zone at Port Stanvac
Paddlers in Gulf St Vincent should be aware of the Marine Exclusion Zone that applies to works at Port Stanvac for the construction of the Adelaide Desalination Project.
To ensure the works are conducted safely both for mariners and the company undertaking the work (Adelaide Aqua) a marine eclusion zone is in place. See Notice to Mariners No 43 of 2009 for further details including the co-ordinates of the boundary of the exclusion zone.
The boundaries of the exclusion zone are marked with yellow lit special marker buoy. Unauthorised craft are prohibited from entering the area at all times. Maps showing the area of the exclusion zone are on display at the boat ramps at O’Sullivans, Christies and Brighton beach.
