Chowilla Creek Navigation Restriction

Advice to Boat Operators

Navigation Restrictions – Chowilla Creek

Boat operators (including paddlers in kayaks or canoes) are advised that navigation access to Chowilla Creek approximately 1.8 km upstream from the River Murray will be closed to prevent safety risks to river users during construction of the Chowilla Creek Environmental Regulator.

All vessels will be unable to navigate through the construction area from 1 July 2010 until further notice.

Claypipe & Slaneys Weir Restrictions start in April 2013. Click here for more information

All other boating activities and access within the Chowilla Game Reserve remain unaffected. Creek flow will not be restricted during construction.

The SA Government apologises for any inconvenience and appreciates your co-operation while this important work is undertaken.
