Instructors, assessors and trainees are invited to participate in a variety of workshops

An all-day workshop programme for Australian Canoeing Award Scheme (ACAS) Assessors and Instructors conducted by the Education and Safety Committee.

Assessor Workshop in the moring 9.30am to 12.30pm

Barbie lunch commencing at 12.30pm. Network with other Instructors and Assessors informally over lunch

Instructor Afternoon workshop programme with ideas, skills, training and opportunity to not only  talk about common issues but try out ideas

– Teaching water confidence
– Extension ativities for students
– Greenland Rolling
– Teaching rolling as a primary skill for kayak beginners

Aims of the programme:
Engage with currant ACAS qualified Assessors/Instructors/Guides/Lifeguards/Leaders
Provide in-service training opportunities for interested Aquatic Instructors
Fulfill our obligation as a NTP to offer refresher & extension training to ACAS qualified Instructors
Ensure ACAS qualified instructors are up-to-date with the latest information and techniques so they can deliver quality instruction
Provide a forum for Assessors and Instructors to meet and discuss issues of mutual interest
