Canoe Polo on Totally Wild

Canoe Polo in SA will be aired on Totally Wild on Channel 11, on Monday 3 July at 8 am. The episode will also be available online at after it has aired.  (Season 24 Episode 99)

Term 3 season at Westminster Pool

The next season at Westminster Pool commences on 23 July 2017 and runs for 10 weeks until 24 September 2017.

When: Sundays, 4:45 pm – 7:30 pm

Teams will be organised between 4:45 – 5pm. We have access into the pool complex at 5 pm for setup and must vacate the pool complex by 7:30 pm. Games will commence approximately 5:20 pm. To maximise playing time, for team creation please email Liz Melville by Saturday to say you are attending.

We would like indicative numbers of people who intend to play Term 3, so we can check that we have booked sufficient pool time.  Please respond to


Adults: $20 per week, or discounted to $160 for Term 3 season (10 weeks) if paid by 23 July. (Unless you already have paid both Term 2 and Term 3 @ Westminster).

School students: $15 per week

Note: the fee covers pool hire, equipment maintenance, new balls, trailer registration and storage.

We would like to have fixed teams, A grade, B grade and Novice/Beginners if sufficient interest.

All players are welcome to bring friends / relatives / children (aged 8 and over) to introduce them to the game.

Beginners practice is held in the small pool.

Location: Westminster School pool, 23 Alison Ave, Marion. Entrance via Gate 2. The swimming centre is marked “W” on the Westminster School map. We enter the pool from the laneway between the “W” and “Y” buildings.

Nationals 2018 – Player and Officials dates

Put them in your diary now

The SA Polo Technical committee has set a timetable for selection of state teams for the 2018 Nationals. This timetable means players and officials will be able to plan and train with some certainty.



Renewal of your AC membership with your club.


Registration and appointment of coaches and officials.

If you are interested in selecting, coaching or managing a team, email your interest to now. You do not have to wait until the call in September.


Summer Series starts (Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide and then Victoria (Nagambie?)

Prepare there for Nationals (Open and Women players especially).

Organise your team and email us a list at  Players might use the Facebook page to find teams or players looking for teams.


Player nominations due.

Please be organised for this. The committee is keen to avoid late nominations and the stress this causes for both players and officials. Forms will be sent to those emailing us and with Batchat.


Team selection.

Selection will be based on performance in local competition, Summer series competitions and any special training deemed appropriate by coaches.


Canoe SA Board ratifies teams.

This should be a formality unless players are not members of Australian Canoeing or have other membership issues
