We refer to an advice received from SAPOL relating to closure of businesses and venues in South Australia
In particular, we highlight the following references

    • (this includes) buildings used by social and sporting clubs
    • In this direction, a member of the public includes the members of any club or association that owns; controls; or operates defined premises.

As a consequence, facilities for all Paddle SA affiliated clubs are to be closed immediately.

The clubrooms at the Aquatic Reserve will also be closed to all users until further notice. All Paddle SA sanctioned activities involving personal contact eg training sessions, education programs, face to face meetings etc are suspended.

We are urgently seeking further advice from relevant authorities as to whether members are permitted to access/collect equipment from club facilities for their personal use.

We are also liaising closely with Paddle Australia, The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing and Sport SA , and will update everyone as soon as further information comes to hand.

These are clearly difficult and uncertain times for us all, but the paramount consideration is the safety and well being of everyone in our care.

Kind Regards

Jim Murphy
President
