The management and administration team at Paddle SA was deeply saddened to receive the news of the passing of PSA director Eddie Andriessen last weekend.
Eddie joined the Board in 2018 and provided valuable input across many areas of our operations. But Eddie’s major contribution, and lasting legacy, was his dedication to the Paddling Trails South Australia website project. Alongside his partner and fellow PSA director Meredith Blesing, and past director Lawrie Shem, Eddie dedicated countless voluntary hours mapping and coordinating information for over 40 paddling trails throughout the state.
Eddie was also an active member of Adelaide Canoe Club for several years, and as an accredited Flatwater Guide regularly assisted with the annual Paddle SA Team Paddle Challenge.
He will be deeply missed by his many friends and colleagues throughout our extended paddling fraternity. Our thoughts are with Meredith and their family at this sad time.
